Social Bookmarking at LSNC sites
First, let’s get this out of the way: Yes, of course I know what the heck are all those buttons you see at the bottom of some blog posts and web pages.
Second, there are way too many of them. Most of these services will be marginalized, if they’re not already, and outright Web road kill in a year or two, if not sooner.
Third, I agree with PC World that the two best social bookmark managers are Del.icio.us and Ma.gnolia.com. Both are wonderful and you will do well with either. I started with the former and have since migrated to the latter. (De gustibus, dude!)
Fourth, so at LSNC.net and other LSNC websites we now offer social bookmark links for both, immediately below each posting, as done here at Webdogs 2.0. Personally, I never use such links or buttons because I just use a bookmarklet in my browser toolbar. But the links have been added to our posts less for their utility and more to promote social bookmarking among our staff and other site users. You know, not for the techies. For civilians. You know them as Normals.
