Ken, from the email message you sent me earlier on the LStech list, I assume your concern here is with synchronization of offline Google Calendar from a laptop. Google has dropped development of Gears, the code basis for its initial forays into offline storage with Gmail, Google Docs and Google Calendar. Google has <a href="http://googledocs.blogspot.com/2010/12/update-on-google-docs-offline-and-new.html" rel="nofollow">announced plans</a> to re-establish offline storage options for Google Apps content -- initially with Google Docs - based on HTML5 web storage functions. We'll all have to wait to see whether those HTML5 options, once implemented by Google, address the synchronization issue you raise.

Legal Services of Northern Michigan has been using the Google calendar for about 1.5 years and the only existing issue I have is that there is no way to enter an event, form a lap-top, and have it sync-up when back on-line. I know it can be done from phone apps and PDA's but extensive search has failed to reveal a lap-top program. We have integrated the Calendar with Thunderbird.

Thank you very much for this thorough review of our product. We really appreciate hearing about customers' experiences with Manymoon. We're very glad Manymoon is working well for LSNC.

I also wanted to respond to the criticisms, most of which have to do with Manymoon's UI. We've heard you, and we're rolling out a whole new UI soon that should solve most if not all of the issues mentioned.

The issue having to do with getting an overall view of projects can be solved if you have an upgraded Manymoon account (Gold or Platinum). If you do, the upgraded account becomes a team administrator and can easily see all team projects, even ones he or she is not a member of.

For any questions about Manymoon or if you need support, please visit our Support Universe at www.manymoon.com/support.

Seeing as I'm reading you inside Google reader, the css is more or less irrelevant. I probably will miss your pretty brackets when I'm moved to look at comments, though. :)

Nice to hear that you found the benefits of the "cloud" approach compelling enough to decide not to go the "on premise" way of SharePoint. Since then, Microsoft has itself entered the "cloud based" services arena with Microsoft BPOS, which includes online versions of MS SharePoint and Exchange. Our own solution, HyperOffice has been offering web based collaboration functionality to small organizations for close to a decade now. We had recently done a comparison between Google Apps, Microsoft BPOS and HyperOffice recently you might want to look at - http://www.hyperoffice.com/google-apps-vs-microsoft-bpos/
