LSNC Google Apps API Project Recently launched as a national demonstration project funded by the LSC TIG program, the project will demonstrate how open source Google APIs can be used for practical integration of the Google Apps platform with open source case management systems used by legal service programs. Specific objectives of the project include creation of practical solutions for integrating select content elements of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Groups into the PHP-based Pika case management system.
The Findability Project Archive A public project documenting implementation of enterprise search within a non-profit, multiple-office legal services work environment. Made possible by a grant from the LSC TIG program, the goal of the project was to implement a Google Enterprise Search Appliance as the principal building block of a modest but secure, well structured, fully web accessible knowledge-content system.
California Food Stamp Guide A comprehensive, authoritative guide to the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), newly renamed in California as the CalFresh program; developed for legal services advocates and others serving the low-income communities in California.
Food Stamp Calculator Prototype A prototype food stamp calculator for use by advocates, as a pedagogical tool, built with PHP and JavaScript. (It works fine in Firefox; the design and functions are buggy in IE.)
Pika~palooza Among other things, includes multiple sets of screenshots of Pika CMS user-interface redesigns; the Pika 3.06 CSS Matrix table; and two Pika sortable table demos.
Race Equity Project Nationally recognized within the legal services community, this is a special project content subsite at Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) addressing issues of race within its service area; includes substantial resources on data, demographics and statistics related to race and low-income economic issues.
LSNC Regulation Summaries Another specialized, very actively updated LSNC content subsite for reporting and locating Federal and California regulations relevant to legal services practice.
